Experience

  • Fx supervisor/designer and 2d fx animator at Method Animation
    Paris, France
    March 2017 - Present

I'm the fx supervisor/designer and 2d fx animator of the show "Miraculous Ladaybug: Tales of Ladybug and Catnoir". As such my job is to design the fx of the show with very detailed board with key frames, text explanations and illustrations of all the important part of the fx (indications on the animation, the lighting, the pace, the duration of the fx in terms of frame... Etc). Everything that is required in terms of look and feel of the fx.

The second part of my job happens during the post production phase of the show, our outside contractors send back 3d tests shots of the fx and I give them feed backs after talking about the designs with the directors and technical directors.

The final, third part of my job is creating 2d traditionally animated fx with Adobe Animate that will be combined with the 3d character animations of the transformations sequences of the show to embellish those sequences. I peech my ideas to the directors and then I create all the 2d animated elements myself, before they are intagrated in composting with the 3d render of the characters.
